Share what you love about your community and meet other people who form the rich religious tapestry and vibrant spiritual life of this region.

Our religious and spiritual diversity is one of our region’s few secrets!

Please share this invitation widely and make sure your community is represented. Please respond by Nov. 7.

If you are new to the area, or seeking a community for yourself, come sample what Ithaca/Tompkins has to offer.

What you need to do:

Please reserve a space at the first Ithaca Multi-Faith Fest to showcase your community on Sunday, November 20th 1-3 PM.

By reserving a space, you will have a table to put up a poster or display about your community and an opportunity to highlight your community.

Share what draws people to your community.

If your practices are not widely understood, you might demonstrate aspects of holidays, holy days or special events that capture the spirit, identity and activities of your community.

You might set out food to share--tasting unusual, traditional or holiday foods is a good way to start meaningful conversations.

Please have two to four active participants available to greet participants, answer questions and mingle with others.

The Ithaca/Tompkins Multi-Faith Fest will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the Women’s Community Building at the corner of Cayuga and Seneca Street in downtown Ithaca.

Afterwards, at 3:00 p.m, Area Congregations Together (ACT) will host the Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service two blocks away at First Presbyterian Church.

This event is sponsored by Shared Journeys and The Open Door Church to promote understanding and build relationships across faith traditions in our community in coordination with the ACT Thanksgiving Service.
